for mainboard a choice goes to DFI Infinity M2 Ultra II featured : Socket AM2, AMD Athlon 64 FX, 2000MT/s, PCI Express x16/x1, Dual-Channel DDR2 667, 8-channel audio, Optical/RCA S/PDIF-out, 4 SATA, RAID 0/1/0+1/JBOD, 1 Gigabit LAN, 2 IEEE 1394 and 10 USB 2.0. and specially OverClocking capabilities to fly up sempron 3000+ (default 200*8=1600) to the bang of Mhz up to 3200mhz (400*8) of course with all risk and lot of cost (water cooling or liquid nitrogen).
why DDR2 667 (PC5300) ?….., the reason for this choice is just to get a maximum memory bandwidth and for compensation using ddr2 timing (did you thing using ddr2 533 PC4200, can make this AM2 produce better performance than s.939 using DDR 400 Pc3200 with thight timing Latencies??? prove it if yu think soo…. ).
